Vine AI ("we", "us") provides AI assistant and chatbot services for businesses, including assistants that respond on websites and through Facebook Messenger. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Conversation data. The messages you send to a Vine AI assistant, the assistant's replies, and any files or images you choose to attach.
- Messaging platform identifiers. When you message us through Facebook Messenger, we receive your page-scoped ID (PSID) and, if your settings allow it, your public profile name. We do not receive your Facebook password, friends list, or private profile data.
- Contact details you provide. If you share a name, email address, or phone number in a conversation so a business can follow up with you.
- Technical basics. Standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) used for security and troubleshooting.
How we use it
- To generate responses to your questions and route your inquiry to the right business.
- To maintain conversation history so the assistant remembers context within your conversation.
- To review conversation quality and improve assistant accuracy.
- To protect the service against abuse, spam, and security threats.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not use your conversations to train third-party AI models. Our assistants run on infrastructure we control.
- We do not send you marketing messages on Messenger outside the messaging windows Meta permits.
Storage and retention
Conversation data is stored on servers we operate in the United States. We retain conversations for as long as needed to provide the service to the business you contacted, and we delete or anonymize data that is no longer needed.
Sharing
Conversations are shared with the business whose assistant you messaged, so they can follow up with you. We use a small number of infrastructure providers (hosting, content delivery) bound by confidentiality obligations. We disclose information if required by law.
Your choices and rights
- You can request a copy of the data we hold about your conversations.
- You can request deletion of your data at any time. See Data Deletion Instructions.
- You can stop messaging the assistant at any time, and on Messenger you can block the page to prevent further contact.
Children
Our services are directed at businesses and are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above.
